WEEK 9

 Monday, March 9th, 2026.

Hello, lovely humans! This morning was awesome. The moon gifted me a beautiful view 🌕✨ even though it was already six o’clock. I love seeing these special moments that nature gives us 😍.

In Target Language class, to begin, Miss Dalila gave us a small recap of the things or weaknesses that she noticed we, as a group, need to work on based on our test from last week. I think most of us agree that we have to read more 📕 because, for me, that part was not difficult, but it was a little heavy after reading for so long. Especially for me, since I’m not very used to reading on a computer for a long time, I know I have to work on that.

After that, we started checking the topic, which was Reported Speech. We saw a presentation that Miss Dalila gave us, and on Wednesday, we are going to work more on it.

See you very, very soon! 😋

What’s up? I hope you’re having a great day 🌺. I want to start by mentioning that, as a fan of a K-pop group called Enhypen, I received some sad news 😞. One of the members of the band was removed from the group by the agency because they have other projects planned for him as a solo artist. I found out about it because my cousin sent me a message. She is a big fan of this group, just like me, but she is more active in following all their updates. And that’s why my day got a little bit gray ☁.

On the other hand, I loved today’s class with Angela. As I already said, it’s wonderful to have classes with her 😊. Today, we gossiped a little bit 🙊, but with an educational purpose. We practiced how to use specific phrases when telling someone a piece of gossip. Angela gave us numbers to form groups, and we had to create a role play. Then we had to present it. I think my team’s role play was excellent 🌈. Angela and our classmates tried to guess if the things we said in our role play were true, but they weren’t. They were surprised that they weren’t. I really enjoyed this activity 💖.

P.D. Tomorrow is my friend Yadhi's recital. I'm so excited!!! 💓😊

Catch you later.

Wednesday, March 11th, 2026.

Hey there. Today was like a roller coaster full of emotions. I smiled 😊 and cried 😭. I was full of joy, and small tears came out of my eyes 💝. Today was my friend Yadhi’s recital. She sang two songs beautifully.

The first one was Musetta. When she sang this song, she evoked so many feelings, and I felt so happy when I saw her acting and moving like a professional singer 🎤. That surprised me a lot and made me feel full of joy 😄.

After that, she sang Brisas, and I felt even more proud of her. She showed me how strong she is, and that really motivated me. I realized that I have to hurry up with my instrument, too. This last song was dedicated to her cat Lucky, who passed away this past Sunday 💟.

I think I learned a lot today, but something I confirmed again is that the world without music would feel lost. Music can say things that words cannot express or make us feel.

P.D. I wished my friend Mia had the chance to see Yadhi. I hope 💙 she can come next time and in the future to invite both of them to mine.

P.D.2. I saw Ale,  a friend from Yadhi, and she thanked me for recording her and told me to invite her to my recital.

The story continues...

Thursday, March 12th, 2026.

Hellooooo! OMG, how can I start writing today? Probably I can begin by telling you that we have tomorrow off and next Monday off too. So, this is going to be a really, really long weekend 😝.

The day was very windy. I loved the fact that it felt fresh and sunny ⛅ because other days have been so hot, and I don’t like that. I prefer windy and cold weather.

In my second class, which was Literary Translation, our professor first gave us our translations back from previous classes, and then we started checking something really interesting. We began talking about poetry. To be honest, I felt a little lost because I don’t know much about it, not even in Spanish. That’s something I struggle with, and I feel a bit ashamed about it. I don’t know many authors or popular poems. But I’ll take this opportunity to dive deeper into this world so I can learn how to translate poetry.

Something our professor said has stayed on my mind: “If you don’t understand poetry, you won’t be able to translate it.” I think that’s very accurate because if you don’t understand the meaning behind each word, the reason why the author chose that word, or the feeling it conveys, you, as a translator, might fail to express the message of the original poet. So, I’m going to be very careful when that moment comes.

I’ll let you know how things turn out when we get there 😉.

See you around!!

Friday, March 13th, 2026.

Hi!!! I’m having a very long weekend, and that means I have to do lots of things like… house chores. Hahaha. 😔

See you on Monday with more adventures!

Bye.
